Sorry I haven't updated in a while, work was kicking my batootie.

I say 'was' because now I'm not employed there anymore due to a company supplier who stopped shipping parts. No parts means nothing to make, means no job. Bleh.

On the bright side, some of my extended family came to visit a week ago and we got to see a lot of San Francisco. I'll post some pictures up later when its not so late.

Hope you all are having fun, ttyl.

So I traveled to Boston over this past week...mainly spent in training that was well, rather interesting...after training I had a bit of time to check out the sites of Boston and I have to say it was really impressive.

I will say...DO NOT EVER RENT A CAR IN BOSTON UNLESS YOU KNOW HTF to drive well...travel around this place in a car is psychotic, and nothing like the west-coast...in fact if you live on the west-coast you should consider it a god-send that you have the roads and grids we do now, because Boston certainly doesn't....

That being said, my first visit was to the MIT Campus in Cambridge. MIT is one of the most impressive feeling places in academia, DNA sequencers, rocket analytics, nuclear power plants, wind tunnels, electronics manufacturing, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology...all of this contributing to one of the best technology-oriented schools in the world. The campus itself is almost overwhelming in scale and is apparent when you are in the Maclaurin courtyard looking at the great dome of MIT from the Harvard bridge. Everything at MIT had a feel of knowledge locked within it's walls that was over a century old and the inscriptions on some of the walls conveyed this expression.

Which brings me to another interesting point...having not been to Boston or paid much attention to the east-coast, I had no awareness that all of the "Boston cities" really were a walk away from one another (unlike west-coast suburbia cities) which surprised me when I learned Harvard was basically right next to MIT...and interestingly enough, the bridge between Cambridge and Boston, the Harvard bridge is also measured in a non-standard unit of measure called the Smoot. It's based on a prank from a fraternity member named George R. Smoot who layed on the bridge and was measured end-to-end to get the length of the bridge.

So in other words, Boston, and MIT...is cool...Boston itself was very historic and being in a place where history itself was made was a bit humbling. Walking the Freedom Trail and seeing where Sam Adams, John Hancock and others were buried as well as the USS Constitution "Old Ironsides", Faneuil Hall and other places along the trail was amazing. So much so I took very few pictures with the exception of snapping a bit of video here and there (I hate to look 'touristy' while travelling...) it was all pretty overwhelming to take in...the seafood was GREAT! and the pubs there were also fantastic.

Sadly it was a business trip, and that was the day I had to return, so I only had a few hours to race through it all before rushing to the airport. I will definitely be coming back to this city though, maybe even for the fourth of July. It was all very incredible to see for a first time run-through and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is in the area and never been.

Just DONT DRIVE! Take the damn subways...glad to be home with normal roads, my car, bed and finally a bit of time to get in game and play...

Hey all! I'm putting my legs up after my first day at work and I thought I'd share some fun stuff.

First of all, My dad and I went out to the USS Hornet CV-12 on Valentine's Day. The thing was huuuuuge! I uploaded some pictures to my profile for you like this one:

http://internecion.net/forums/album....5&pictureid=12

Its a WWII Aircraft Carrier and was the 8th naval vessel to carry the name hornet. There was a funny part about the tour where marines patrolled the brig section and if any navy personel crossed into thier territory they would whack em in the head. :-)

Second, I had the best pizza ever! It was Spinach, Chicken and Zuccini pizza from this place callem Melo's. Super yummy, hardly greasy and super cheesy!

Third, my feet hurt from work, owie. Maybe later I'll get some pics up of me in my clean room bunny suit. :-)

Thats all from me, hope you all are doing well!

The holidays are now upon us in full force. My nephews have asked me to teach them the ways of World of Warcraft........yes....I tried lich king for them.....not really too impressed....we all ended up playing Warhammer Online however and they found it was less "like cartoons" and more like the Lord of the Rings which they prefer...

The rest of the night was spent watching their father and the other two swing the replica Star Wars light sabers I purchased for all of them in gleeful force....It was the first time I'd seen the replica sabers and I must say...those are pretty damn cool!!! In either event it was also the first time I'd ever seen a 45 year old adult turn into a little kid with his light saber....

I myself also made out like a bandit getting all sorts of wicked house items, space age salt and pepper grinders and my first camcorder (HD no less.) This thing is cool too!

More and more continues with the guild in Warhammer as well, all of us are quite happy and enjoying our time in game...we continue to strive to expand the community for the future gaming and open-world events, hopefully 2009 will see the siege of Altdorf!
